Hello and welcome to my webpage! My name is Carol Choi and I am a self-taught illustrator. My artwork ranges anywhere from warm sentimentalism to downright silliness. I think one of the best things about being an illustrator is the ability to make someone laugh. I enjoy encapsulating hilarious and endearing moments and conversations into comics or illustrations. Drawing is a magical tool that helps me stay connected to family and friends no matter where I am!
After working as a tax professional for many years, I revisited my childhood passion for art, literacy, and storytelling through picture books. I debuted as a children’s book illustrator in 2022 with “Hold Yer Horses, Pardner!” written by Cody Spencer. I am currently working on a series called “Tales From Wiggleberry.” It is written by author Carrie Dawn, who is a passionate advocate for childhood literacy development. In my free time, I am creating artwork for my portfolio and looking for agent representation.
